Sachin Tendulkar to play for Mumbai in Ranji Trophy before last Test series

MCA Jt Secretary Nitin Dalal said that Sachin Tendulkar (in pic) will play the Ranji tie against Haryana.
Sachin Tendulkar has confirmed his availability for the Mumbai-Haryana Ranji encounter to be played at Lahli on October 28th. The Mumbai selection committee is scheduled to meet on Wednesday evening to pick the final squad.

MCA Jt Secretary Nitin Dalal confirming the news said, "Sachin will be playing the Ranji tie against Haryana. This will not only serve as a warm up opportunity for him but also become a great boost for rest of the playing squad."

Zaheer Khan, currently out of India squad has also expressed his availability to play the Haryana tie but the focus will remain on the master blaster now in his last legs of international cricket following his announcement last week that the West Indies Test series will be his last.

This game will serve as a warm up for Sachin before the two tests that will mark an end to his illustrious career. The first test is scheduled on 6th November in Kolkata and the final test at his home ground Wankhede stadium Mumbai starting November 14th.
