Facebook suffers global outage
Facebook has suffered a global outage, leaving its 1.2 billion users without the option of updating their statuses.

NEW DELHI: Social networking giant Facebookhas suffered a global outage, leaving its 1.2 billion users without the option of updating their statuses, posting comments and liking posts as well as pages. 

Users are able to log into their accounts and move between the pages they manage, but get an error message when they post statuses or comments or like the same. The service disruption affected not just the website but also its mobile app. 

DownRightNow, a website monitoring service, currently shows that Facebook is facing a "Likely Service Disruption." 

Facebook is yet to comment on the issue. 

Facebook users unhappy with the outage took to microblogging websiteTwitter to express their anguish. Following are some of the tweets on the service disruption:
